Our commitment
Hassanates & Sayiates is a private spiritual journal. We treat your data with the respect it deserves — we never sell or share your spiritual practice with anyone.
What we collect
- Account data: email, name, password (hashed with bcrypt), language preference. Optional — guest mode requires nothing.
- Spiritual data you log: hassanates, sayiates, dhikr counts, journal entries, evening reflections. These belong to you.
- Device data: approximate location (only when you explicitly grant it, used to compute prayer times and Qibla direction). Not stored on our servers, not shared with third parties.
- Anonymous analytics: a small number of usage events (screen opened, action triggered) to help us improve the app. No personal content.
- Apple receipt data: if you subscribe, we validate the receipt with Apple. We never see your credit card or Apple ID password.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not run third-party advertising SDKs.
- We do not sell your data — ever.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Your rights
- Access & export: from the Profile tab, export your full data as JSON.
- Deletion: tap "Delete my account" from the Profile tab. We erase all your data within 24 hours, including backups (Apple Guideline 5.1.1(v) compliant).

Data location & retention
Account data is stored on secure servers (encrypted at rest). Guest mode data lives only on your device. We retain account data as long as the account is active; deleted accounts are wiped within 24h.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we will notify you in-app before the change takes effect.
